Introduction
Interpretation of the core content of the standard
This standard revision adopts the ISO16409:2006 international standard, which mainly regulates the terminology, classification system and quality requirements of manual interdental brushes. Compared with the ISO original version, new key technical indicators such as main stem fastness ≥15N and heat resistance are added. For details of the structural adjustment, please refer to Appendix A.

Product classification system
First category replaceable brush head: Suitable for professional dental clinics, such as Double Clean medical-grade products, the brush head replacement cycle is recommended to be ≤3 months

Key points of the test method
1. Aperture test: Use a hardened steel measuring plate with a tolerance of ±0.02mm, and require that the main stem does not deform when the brush head passes through the minimum aperture
2. Filament fastness test: Select a hole 0.2mm larger than the passing aperture and perform 80 reciprocating friction tests
3. Fatigue test: 45° swing test under 500g counterweight, and the main stem has no breakage after 20 cycles
Implementation suggestions
Manufacturers: It is recommended to establish a metal main stem salt spray test process to prevent rust problems; the packaging label must include the specification model (such as IS-3 for 1.1-1.2mm)
Medical institutions: Select the specification according to the size of the patient's tooth gap, 0.6-1.0mm is suitable for the anterior teeth area, and 1.6mm and above is suitable for the posterior molar area
Quality Inspection Agency: Focus on the phthalate limit requirements in Appendix C, and refer to GB/T22048 for the testing method
