Introduction

Analysis of the core content of the standard

This standard systematically regulates the technical system of anti-corrosion materials for wet flue gas chimneys, including the performance requirements and test methods of 7 major types of materials such as glass flake mortar and titanium steel composite plate. It is suitable for highly corrosive working conditions with flue gas temperature of 50-80℃ and pH value of 1-3.

Detailed explanation of key technical requirements

1. Composite coating system

The standard requires that the composite system consisting of primer, midcoat and topcoat must pass 6 rigorous tests such as 150℃ heat resistance and 20% sulfuric acid immersion. Among them, the wear resistance of glass flake mortar is ≤50mg (500g/1000 turns) and water vapor permeability coefficient is ≤1.5×10⁻⁵g/(m·s·Pa).

2. Metal materials

Titanium-steel composite plates must meet the following requirements:

  • Titanium layer thickness ≥1.2mm
  • Shear strength ≥140MPa
  • Roughness ≤15mm/m
Nickel-based alloy plates must meet the mechanical property requirements of YB/T 5353.


Typical test method

Sulfuric acid tolerance test (Appendix B)

Simulate material performance under abnormal working conditions:

  1. The sample is immersed in 20% sulfuric acid for 1 hour
  2. Dried at 150℃ for 2 hours
  3. Cooled at room temperature for 1 hour
  4. After 30 cycles, evaluate the blistering, cracking, etc.
This test can effectively verify the durability of the material under acid dew point corrosion conditions.


Engineering Application Suggestions

Based on the experience of standard implementation:

  • For chimneys without GGH system, integral FRP inner tube or titanium composite plate is preferred
  • During the construction of foam brick lining, it is necessary to ensure that the shear strength of the adhesive and the primer is ≥1.0MPa
  • Acid-resistant castables should be used in conjunction with an anti-seepage isolation layer, and the natural drying shrinkage rate must be ≤2.0%
