Introduction

Standard Overview

GB/T 37242-2018 specifies the determination method of sound power level of industrial robots and service robots, covering key technical indicators such as test environment, instrument requirements, and operating conditions. The standard divides robots into two categories: industrial robots and service robots, and adopts different test accuracy levels (industrial robots level 3, service robots level 2).

Comparison of core test requirements

Test dimension Industrial robot Service robot
Background noise difference ≥3dB ≥6dB
Environmental correction limit ≤7dB ≤4dB
Test instrument level Level 2 and above Level 1 and above
Benchmark body setting Circumscribed square of maximum arm span Minimum envelope of motion range

Analysis of key technologies

1. Specifications for setting reference body

For industrial robots with arm span, a circle with the maximum arm length as the radius is drawn, and its circumscribed square is taken as the length and width of the reference body; for service robots, the reference body is determined according to the minimum hexahedron of the actual motion range. In special cases:

  • Cleaning robots need to be tested on a 1m×1m wooden floor
  • Small service robots (length and width ≤ 0.5m and height ≤ 0.7m) use a hemispherical measuring surface

2. Test point layout plan

Typical case: A six-axis industrial robot has an arm span of 1.8m and a height of 1.2m. Its test point layout is:

  1. Base body size: 1.8m×1.8m×1.2m
  2. The four test points are 1m away from the boundary of the base body
  3. The test height is (1.2+1)/2=1.1m

Implementation suggestions

Test environment construction

Should meet the following requirements:

  • Temperature 10-35℃, humidity 30-70%
  • Hard and smooth ground (reflection coefficient ≥0.9)
  • Industrial robot test distance from the wall ≥2m

Troubleshooting

Problem phenomenon Solution
Background noise exceeds the standard Choose nighttime testing or install a soundproof cover
Mobile robot trajectory deviation Use laser guidance to ensure linear motion
Multiple sound source interference Test each component separately in different time periods

Key points for report preparation

Must include:

  1. Calculation process of background noise correction value K1A
  2. Determination method of environmental correction value K2A
  3. Original data and average value of each test point
  4. Temperature and humidity records of the test site
