Analysis of the core content of the standard

This standard defines the data interaction specifications between the positioning client and the positioning server of the magnetic positioning system, including:

Technology Evolution Analysis

Compared with traditional RFID/Bluetooth positioning, magnetic positioning has the following advantages:

  • Environmental adaptability: Utilize the inherent magnetic field characteristics of buildings, no need to deploy beacons
  • Accuracy advantage: Circular Error Probability (CEP) can reach sub-meter level (the example value in the standard is 2.5m)
  • Data fusion: Support multi-sensor data collaboration such as accelerometer and gyroscope

Typical Application Scenarios

Underground parking lot navigation: Through magnetic feature map matching realizes continuous positioning in a GPS-free environment. The case shows that the positioning success rate of a shopping mall after deployment is as high as 92%.

Development Notes

  1. Sensor calibration: regular hard iron/soft iron compensation
  2. Data preprocessing: It is recommended to use a sliding window (the standard recommends 1000 samples/window)
  3. Interface security: HTTP transmission requires an additional TLS encryption layer
