《GB/T 38693-2020燃气燃烧器和燃烧器具用安全和控制装置 特殊要求 热电式熄火保护装置》由333(住房和城乡建设部)归口,主管部门为住房和城乡建设部。
Introduction
Interpretation of the core content of the standard
GB/T 38693-2020 specifies the key safety requirements for thermoelectric flameout protection devices in gas combustion systems, and is applicable to gas equipment with a maximum working pressure of ≤500kPa and a nominal size of ≤DN50.
I. Device classification system
| Classification dimension | Category | Technical characteristics |
|---|---|---|
| Number of operations | Class I | ≥40,000 times (household/commercial stoves) |
| Class II | ≥10,000 times (oven, etc.) | |
| Class III | ≥6,000 times (heating stove, etc.) | |
| Functional type | Single/dual coil type | Whether to use auxiliary energy |
| Operating temperature | Low temperature type (≤650℃)/High temperature type (>650℃) | Thermocouple temperature resistance grade |
II. Key performance indicators
Thermocouple must meet the following requirements:
- Low temperature type generates ≥15mV thermoelectric potential within 10s at 650℃
- Valve closing time ≤45s (low temperature type) or complies with manufacturer's declaration (high temperature type)
- Internal resistance change rate ≤±10% after 15,000 hot and cold cycles
Solenoid valve must pass the following requirements:
- Static endurance test (48h high and low temperature alternation)
- Dynamic endurance test (Class I ≥ 25,000 operating cycles)
Technology evolution and implementation recommendations
This standard is modified to adopt ISO 23551-6:2014. The main differences include:
- Added requirements for dual-coil devices to adapt to auxiliary energy application scenarios
- Refined mechanical properties such as thermocouple tensile strength (>50N)
- Mandatory requirement for household stoves to have a valve opening time of ≤5s
Key points for enterprise implementation:
- 100% testing of air tightness and valve closing characteristics is required for factory inspection
- The packaging must be marked with the warning "The use of auxiliary energy shall not affect the valve closing time"
- It is recommended to refer to Appendix E to optimize the thermocouple flame contact position (3-5mm)
