Liquefied natural gas

1 Scope

This standard specifies the quality, test methods, inspection rules, storage and shipment requirements of liquefied natural gas.

This standard is applicable to commercial liquefied natural gas.

3 Classification and quality requirements

3.1 The quality requirements of liquefied natural gas shall meet those specified in Table 1.

3.2 The liquefied natural gas is classified into three categories: lean liquid type, conventional liquid type and rich liquid type according to the methane content and high volumetric calorific value.

3.3 When either the methane content or the high volumetric calorific value of the liquefied natural gas is different from those specified in Table 1, the methane content is taken as the index for classification.

4 Test methods and inspection rules

4.1 The sampling of liquefied natural gas shall be in accordance with GB/T 20603.

4.2 The determination of hydrocarbons, carbon dioxide, nitrogen and oxygen in liquefied natural gas shall be carried out according to GB/T 13610 or GB/T 27894 (all parts), and the arbitration test shall be subject to GB/T 13610.

4.3 The calculation of gross calorific value of liquefied natural gas shall be carried out according to GB/T 11062.

4.4 The determination of total sulfur content in liquefied natural gas shall be carried out according to GB/T 11060.4, GB/T 11060.5, GB/T 11060.8 or GB/T 11060.10, and the arbitration test shall be subject to GB/T 11060.8.

4.5 The determination of hydrogen sulfide content in liquefied natural gas shall be carried out according to GB/T 11060.1, GB/T 11060.3 or GB/T 11060.10, and the arbitration test shall be subject to GB/T 11060.1.
