Introduction
Interpretation of the core content of the standard
GB/T 38824-2020 systematically regulates soft carbon (Soft Carbon) used as negative electrode materials for lithium-ion batteries for the first time, defining soft carbon as
- Test environment: 25℃ constant temperature
- Current setting: 0.6mA discharge to 5mV→0.3mA discharge to 5mV→0.6mA charge to 2.0V
- Data processing: The error of parallel samples must be ≤5mAh/g, and abnormal data must be retested
Suggestions for the implementation of the standard
Manufacturers need to pay special attention to the following:
- The packaging requires the use of 650mm×950mm plastic bag + outer box double layer protection, and the weight of a single piece is 25±0.1kg
- The storage environment must be kept dry and ventilated, and the packaging must be protected from damage during transportation
- The electrochemical test must be strictly carried out in accordance with Appendix A, and special attention must be paid to the oxygen content in the glove box (≤1×10⁻⁶)
Application case: High-capacity soft carbon optimization
An enterprise adopted the SCP(CH) product developed by this standard and controlled the class='instrument>Tap density is 1.15g/cm³, specific surface area is 3.2m²/g, achieving a discharge capacity of 315mAh/g and a Coulomb efficiency of 83.5%, which fully meets the standard requirements.
