Introduction
Analysis of the core content of the standard
GB/T 39156-2020 establishes a complete technical system for large-sized ceramic panels (thickness>6mm and single panel area ≥1.62㎡) for the first time, filling the gap in the standard of building decoration materials. This standard was jointly drafted by 23 units including Mona Lisa Group and officially implemented in October 2021.
Comparison of key technical requirements
| Performance indicators | Requirements for glazed plates | Requirements for unglazed plates | Testing methods |
|---|---|---|---|
| Water absorption | Average value ≤0.5%, single value ≤0.6% | GB/T 3810.3 Vacuum method | |
| Modulus of rupture | ≥35MPa (single value ≥32MPa) | 600×300mm sample testing | |
| Abrasion resistance | Report wear revolutions | Wear volume≤150mm³ | GB/T 3810.6/7 |
| Chemical corrosion resistance | ≥GB grade | ≥UB grade | GB/T 3810.13 |
Innovative detection method
Shear strength test (Appendix A)
In view of the special requirements of dry hanging installation, the standard creatively stipulates:
- Use 250×50mm specimen and retain the original edge
- Special carbon steel bracket with rubber buffer layer (50IRHD±5)
- Judgment rules: average value ≥ 15N/mm² and single value ≥ 13.5N/mm²
Typical case: A project used 12mm thick large-size ceramic panels for curtain wall. The shear strength was tested to be 18.7N/mm², far exceeding the standard requirement.
Implementation points
Quality control suggestions
- Raw material control:Clay particle size must be ≤0.063mm and the proportion must be >65%
- Firing process:It is recommended to use a roller kiln with a firing temperature of 1200-1250℃
- Dimension detection:The accuracy of the laser micrometer must reach 0.1mm (see Figure 1 standard diagram)
Engineering application guidelines
According to clauses 5.14-5.17 of the standard, different scenarios should focus on:
- Outdoor floor:Static friction coefficient ≥0.5, frost resistance must be tested
- Kitchen countertop:Additional testing of lead and cadmium dissolution is required
- Chemical workshop: High concentration acid and alkali corrosion testing is recommended
