Analysis of the core content of the standard

GB/T 39186-2020, as a key technical standard for water conservation in the steel industry, has established a water conservation calculation system for scenarios including comprehensive sewage treatment system and circulating water equipment. The standard innovatively proposes the concept of "calibrated water intake", and quantifies the benefits of water conservation by comparing the data of the base period with the statistical reporting period.

Case: Wastewater treatment and reuse project in a steel plant

Calculated using the water intake per ton of steel in the base period: when the output after the transformation reached 10.1 million tons, the calibrated water intake reached 42.93 million m³, and the actual water intake was 37.50 million m³, achieving an annual water saving of 5.43 million m³.

  2. Principles for method selection: For process transformation, the unit product method is preferred, and for pipeline network transformation, the leakage rate method is preferred
  3. Handling of special circumstances: The softened water intake is converted according to the coefficient of GB/T 50109
