Introduction
Interpretation of the core content of the standard
This standard specifies the technical requirements for the full life cycle of closed expansion tanks with a working pressure of ≤1.6MPa and a temperature range of -10-70℃, and is applicable to building HVAC and domestic water supply systems. It focuses on standardizing the material properties, structural design and testing methods of diaphragm expansion tanks.
Comparison of key technical indicators
| Project | Heating and air conditioning type | Domestic water supply type | Test standard |
|---|---|---|---|
| Pressure test coefficient | 1.25 times | 1.5 times | 7.6.3 |
| Number of cycle tests | 10,000 times (≤1m³) | 50,000 times (≤1m³) | 7.8.2-7.8.3 |
| Sanitary requirements | Not mandatory | Complies with GB/T 17219 | 6.9 |
Key performance of diaphragm materials
The standard requires that the diaphragm material must meet the following requirements:
- Tensile strength at break ≥8MPa (GB/T 528)
- Hot air aging coefficient ≥0.7 (100℃×48h)
- Liquid resistance performance change rate ≤25%
IIR/NBR/EPDM rubber materials are recommended. The drinking water system must pass the GB/T 17219 hygiene certification.
Implementation and application suggestions
Selection guide
- For heating systems, a bladder structure with a pre-charge pressure of 0.8-1.0MPa is preferred.
- The domestic water supply system must be equipped with a dead water disturbance prevention device.
- Stainless steel (S30408) is suitable for places with high water quality requirements.
Installation and maintenance
- The pressure gauge accuracy shall not be less than Class 1.6, and the range shall be 2 times the working pressure.
- The pre-charge pressure shall be checked at least once a year.
- The stored water shall be drained when the system is deactivated.
Standard evolution analysis
Compared with the old industry regulations, this standard mainly improves:
- Added a new test method for the durability of diaphragm materials (7.8 cyclic pressure test)
- Cleared the differentiated inspection requirements for products with different uses
- Strengthened the application specifications of stainless steel materials in drinking water systems
