Introduction

Core changes in the standard revision

Revised items 2020 version 2024 version Technical impact
Definition of inclusions Only basic definition Explicitly exclude packaging materials More precise inspection scope
New terms None Increase Non-steel metal substances and Physical amount of steel Improve the quality evaluation system
Small material grades 3 varieties 4 new LRS304 Refine the classification of thin plates

Technical specifications for raw material classification

The standard divides recycled steel raw materials into 7 categories and 24 specific grades, among which crushed recycled steel raw materials have a new block-type processing method:

Typical processing flow: Disassembly→magnetic separation→crushing (shearing)→sorting→packaging

Comparison of key technical indicators

Test items Limit requirements Test methods
Radioactive contamination ≤background value+0.25μSv/h SN/T0570
hazardous waste ≤0.01% GB5085 series
physical quantity of steel ≥92% magnetic separation weighing method

Implementation key points

  1. Acceptance batch processing:The minimum inspection batch is reduced from 300t to 30t, and the sampling plan needs to be adjusted
  2. LRS304 application:Establish a separate sorting line for thin plate waste with a thickness of <2mm
  3. Steel physical quantity detection: It is recommended to configure XRF+magnetic separation composite detection equipment

Standard Evolution Analysis

This revision reflects three major trends: ① Strengthening the control of radioactive/hazardous materials; ② Refining the classification of raw materials (adding 2 new terms and 1 brand); ③ Optimizing the inspection rules (the lower limit of batch weight is reduced by 90%). In particular, the introduction of the steel physical quantity indicator will promote scrap steel processing companies to improve their sorting technology level.
