Interpretation of the core content of the standard

This standard systematically regulates the full life cycle safety evaluation system of suspended floor glass, step glass and plank glass for the first time. It focuses on the special use scenarios of high-altitude transparent carriers and establishes a two-stage evaluation mechanism before and after installation.

  • Thickness deviation: Use an outside micrometer to check, which should comply with the allowable range of GB/T38784
  • Edge burst control: Edge burst depth ≤ 1/3 of thickness, length ≤ 10mm/meter
  • Compatibility test: Chemical compatibility verification of adhesive and interlayer

Technology Evolution Analysis

This standard has the following major improvements over the previous version: 1) It is clarified that the three-layer structure is a mandatory requirement for plank road glass; 2) ionic interlayer is added as an optional material; 3) Dynamic load is included in the mandatory inspection items. These revisions are based on the practical experience of projects such as the Zhangjiajie Glass Plank Road.

Common Risk Warning

Typical Unqualified Case: A scenic spot used a two-layer structure for plank road glass, and the interlayer delamination occurred under temperature difference stress. According to clause 5.1.1 of this standard, a three-layer structure configuration must be adopted.
