《GB/T 39856-2021热轧钛及钛合金无缝管材》由TC243(全国有色金属标准化技术委员会)归口,TC243SC3(全国有色金属标准化技术委员会稀有金属分会)执行,主管部门为中国有色金属工业协会。

Introduction

Interpretation of the core content of the standard

GB/T39856-2021, as an important technical specification for the titanium processing industry, systematically stipulates the full process technical requirements for hot-rolled titanium and titanium alloy seamless pipes for the first time. This standard is applicable to TC4, TA1G and other grades pipes produced by the oblique rolling and piercing process, with an outer diameter range of 60-480mm and a wall thickness of 6-16mm, filling the gap in my country's standardization of high-temperature deformed titanium pipes.

Comparison of key technical indicators

Performance parameters TA1G TA3G TC4 Testing standards
Tensile strength(MPa) ≥240 ≥500 ≥895 GB/T228.1
Yield strength(MPa) 140-310 380-550 ≥825 GB/T228.1
Elongation(%) ≥24 ≥18 ≥10 GB/T228.1

Key points of process control

The mechanical properties of hot-rolled (R) and annealed (M) are significantly different. The standard clearly requires that the performance of hot-rolled pipes must be verified by heat-treated sample blanks. The sandblasting/pickling surface treatment process can ensure that the pipe presents a silver-grey metallic color, and the surface roughness Ra should be controlled within 3.2μm.

Specific dimensional control requirements for the oblique rolling piercing process:
1. Roundness deviation ≤ 80% of the outer diameter tolerance
2. Wall thickness unevenness ≤ 12.5% of the nominal wall thickness
3. Full length curvature ≤ 1.5‰

Quality inspection system

The standard constructs a three-level inspection system:
Mandatory inspection items: chemical composition (GB/T3620.1), room temperature tensile (GB/T228.1), external dimensions
Optional inspection items: impact test (GB/T229), ultrasonic flaw detection (GB/T5193), hydraulic test (GB/T241)
Special requirements: when the pipe is used for pressure-bearing components, it is necessary to add 100% ultrasonic inspection

The batching rules require that only pipes from the same smelting furnace number and the same heat treatment batch can be combined into an inspection batch to ensure material consistency.

Implementation Suggestions

1. The ordering technical agreement should specify:
- Special size requirements (refer to Appendix A outer diameter series)
- Surface processing status (sandblasting/pickling/machining)
- Additional test items (such as grain size requirements)

2. Acceptance Notes:
- Chemical composition objection period is 3 months
- Appearance quality objection period is 1 month
- Mechanical properties that are unqualified can be retested one by one

3. Application scenario matching:
TC4 pipe is suitable for aviation hydraulic pipelines (900MPa strength required)
TA2G pipe is more suitable for chemical heat exchangers (excellent corrosion resistance required)
