《GB/T 40237-2021泡沫塑料着火性试验方法 电焊火花法》由TC113(全国消防标准化技术委员会)归口,TC113SC7(全国消防标准化技术委员会防火材料分会)执行,主管部门为应急管理部。

Introduction

Interpretation of the core content of the standard

This standard establishes for the first time an evaluation method for the ignition properties of foam plastics in an electric welding environment, and fills the gap in traditional ignition source testing by simulating the electric welding spark impact scene generated by a carbon dioxide shielded welder.

Test principle and technical features

A 45° angle welding gun is used with a 10-15mm arc starting distance to ensure uniform distribution of spark particles. The key parameters include:

Parameters Technical requirements Allowance deviation
Specimen size 600×600×50mm ±5mm(length and width),±2mm(thickness)
Spark impact distance 600mm ±50mm
Low carbon steel plate speed 5-10mm/s Servo motor control

Key equipment requirements

Electric welding spark test device must meet the following requirements:

  1. The combustion box adopts a 800×800×1000mm stainless steel structure
  2. The welding wire uses ER50 type 1.0mm carbon steel welding wire (in line with GB/T8110)
  3. The micro-motor system controls the Z-shaped scanning trajectory

Comparative analysis of judgment criteria

Failure mode Judgment threshold Test observation items
Flame combustion ≥5s Flame height, duration
Smoldering ≥30 seconds Smoke location and expansion
Ignition of molten droplets Ignition of absorbent cotton Droplet size and frequency

Implementation suggestions

Polyurethane foam case: It is recommended to maintain an environment of 23±2℃/50±10%RH for 88 hours during the pretreatment stage, and pay attention to the molten droplet phenomenon during the test.

Safety protection focus: It is necessary to configure dual protection of welding mask + respiratory protection, and monitor for 24 hours after the test to prevent re-ignition.
