Introduction
Analysis of the core content of the standard
GB/T 40930-2021 is equivalent to the ISO 9523:2019 international standard, which specifies the interface technical requirements for the connection between adult touring ski boots and bindings, with the key points including:
- Interface size tolerance: 28mm±3mm at the front, 32mm±2mm at the rear
- Material hardness: Shore D hardness in the interface area ≥50
- Dynamic friction coefficient: Rubber material needs to be <0.2 (PTFE interface ≤0.1)
Key technical requirements
1. Interface size system
| Area | Critical Dimension | Allowance Deviation | Measurement Method |
|---|---|---|---|
| Front Interface | 28mm | ±3mm | Special Measuring Tool Covers Full Width of Sole |
| Rear Interface | 32mm | ±2mm | Support Block Height Verification |
| Sole Length | Matching Difference | ≤2mm | Three-Dimensional Measurement System |
2. Material Performance Specifications
The standard puts forward dual requirements for the interface area material:
- Hardness requirement: Shore A ≥65 (rubber) or Shore D ≥50 (shell) at 23°C
- Friction characteristics: Through the polytetrafluoroethylene block test, the dynamic friction coefficient must meet the following requirements:
- Rubber material <0.2
- Non-rubber interface material ≤0.1
Details of the test method
1. Dynamic friction coefficient test
Use a vertical load of 500N±5N and a sliding speed of 1mm/s. Requirements:
- 10 pre-tests are required before testing
- Each sample is tested 6 times (extreme values are removed)
- The error of four measurements is ≤±5%
2. Stiffness test
Use a 25mm wide hard metal strip to apply pressure and measure the bending deformation of the boot sole:
- Maximum allowable deformation: 5mm
- Test environment: 23℃±2℃, RH50%±5%
Implementation and application suggestions
Manufacturer’s notes
- The interface area design must ensure compatibility with mainstream bindings
- Special dimensions must be classified and marked according to Appendix B
- The standard number (GB/T 40930-2021) must be marked
User Guide
The standard requires that the product be accompanied by a user manual, which should include:
- Safety Warning: Non-professional modification is prohibited
- Usage Tips: Check the closure status of the boot buckle before skiing
- Maintenance Requirements: Regularly clear ice debris from the interface area
