1. Assessment process
Skill assessment needs to be verified by welding and testing of standard test pieces:
- Test piece welding needs to be completed under the supervision of the examiner
- Visual inspection and at least one additional test (ultrasonic/radiographic/peeling, etc.) must be carried out
- Deficiency assessment is based on Class B standard of GB/T33219
2. Certificate management
Qualification certificates adopt a 3+3 years cycle mechanism:
- Initial validity period is 3 years
- Enterprises need to confirm their continuous operating capabilities every 6 months
- For extension, quality certification documents for the past three years must be provided.
