《GB/T 41160-2022铸造工具钢》由TC54(全国铸造标准化技术委员会)归口,TC54SC1(全国铸造标准化技术委员会铸钢分会)执行,主管部门为国家标准化管理委员会。
Introduction
Interpretation of the core content of the standard
As an important standard in the field of foundry tool steel in my country, GB/T41160-2022 systematically regulates 30 types of tool steel grades smelted in electric arc furnaces. The standard innovatively localizes the ISO10679:2019 international standard. The main technical changes are reflected in:
| Technical dimension | ISO standard | GB/T41160 | Improvement points |
|---|---|---|---|
| Scope of specification | Only specifies materials | Covering the entire casting process | Extended to manufacturing application links |
| Grade system | 18 grades | 30 grades | New ZG series special steel |
| Test method | Quote ISO method | Integrate 42 national standards | Adapt to domestic testing system |
| Quality requirements | Basic indicators | Add welding repair specifications | Stricter defect control |
Key technical innovations
1. Chemical composition control system
The standard establishes a five-element precision control model: Taking ZG40 Cr4 Co4W4V2 as an example, the tungsten content is required to be 8.50-9.50% and the cobalt content is 3.80-4.30%. The high-temperature red hardness is ensured by limiting the V/W ratio (0.35-0.55). Compared with the ISO standard, the carbon deviation is tightened to ±0.02%.
2. Graded heat treatment system
Divided by material type into three annealing temperature zones:
- Low temperature group (740-790℃): such as ZG50W2 CrV
- Medium temperature group (815-845℃): such as ZG35 Cr5 MoWV
- High temperature group (≥870℃): high alloy steel such as ZG215 Cr12W
Implementation and application suggestions
Material selection decision matrix
Select grades according to working conditions:
| Application scenarios | Recommended grades | Core advantages |
|---|---|---|
| Hot working molds | ZG83W6 Mo5 Cr4V2 | Heat fatigue resistance (HRC≥60) |
| Cold stamping die | ZG150 Cr12 MoCoV | Abrasive wear resistance |
| Plastic mold | ZG38 Cr17 Mo | Excellent polishing performance (Ra≤0.1μm) |
Key points of quality control
- Before spectral analysis, it is necessary to grind to a depth of 6mm (thick-walled parts)
- Major weld repairs require double 100% testing (UT+MT)
- Hardness retest allows 2 repair heat treatments
Standard evolution analysis
The technical route of this standard presents three major trends:
- Diversification of alloy design: New Co/W composite strengthening system
- Integration of detection technology: Combination of spectroscopy and classical chemical analysis
- Full life cycle management: Complete specifications from smelting to scrap recycling
