Scope

This standard specifies the basic acoustic performance requirements of the standard sound source and the calibration method of the sound power level expressed in 1/1 octave band, 1/3 octave band and A weighting. Several types of standard sound sources are described in Appendix A of this standard. This standard applies to calibrations in semi-anechoic chambers, ie free-field acoustic environments on a reflective surface, and specifies the level of detail of the uncertainty to be achieved. This standard applies to various types of standard sound sources.
