Analysis of key technical indicators

The quality assessment system of Fritillaria thunbergii seedlings includes 5 core dimensions: appearance (scale adhesion, color), pulp foot rate (≥95%), disease and injury rate (≤5%), single seed weight (grading threshold) and geometric size (particle size/thickness). The particle size test requires the use of a vernier caliper to measure the widest radial length, and the thickness test requires the thickest axial part.

Packaging and transportation specifications

The standard requires the use of breathable carton packaging (single piece ≤ 20kg), which must be isolated from toxic substances during transportation, and ships must be equipped with cushioning materials. Storage period exceeding 1 week must be preserved by wet sand method, and the storage time limit at room temperature is strictly controlled within 1 month.

Innovation in inspection methods

The repeated sampling and testing mechanism was introduced for the first time: 200 particles were taken for particle size/thickness testing and repeated in 2 groups, and 400 particles were taken for disease and injury rate testing and repeated in 4 groups, which significantly improved data reliability. The white porcelain plate spreading method was used to determine the pulp foot rate to ensure observation accuracy.

Producers should pay special attention to the following: Standards for determining substandard products (bulbs with a single grain weight ≥2.5g, a grain size ≥1.6cm and a thickness ≥1.0cm shall not be used as seedlings). It is recommended to establish a seedling traceability system to fully record information such as the origin and harvest period, and the packaging label must include the plant quarantine certificate number.
