Analysis of the core content of the standard
This standard is equivalent to the international standard IEC60704213:2016, and specifies a professional testing method system for the noise characteristics of cooking fume treatment equipment such as range hoods.

Key points for test implementation
1. Appliance installation specifications
For island-type range hoods, the back is required to be 1cm±0.5cm away from the vertical wall and fixed by an elastic support device. Down-discharge systems must be embedded in the test cabinet according to the manufacturer's instructions.
2. Selection of measurement methods
The hexahedron measurement surface method specified in GB/T3767-2016 is preferred, with a standard measurement distance of 1m. When there is an obvious pure sound component, additional microphone points are required.
3. Data processing requirements
The measurement time of A-weighted sound pressure level is ≥30 seconds, and the standard deviation of sound power level is controlled: repeatability σr≤0.4dB, reproducibility σR≤1.0dB.
Analysis of Standard Evolution
This standard forms a supporting system with IEC61591:1997. The main technical changes include:
- Added test requirements for down-discharge systems
- Improved the noise separation measurement method for external fan devices
- Refined the filter pretreatment specifications for circulating devices
Implementation Suggestions
- It is recommended that enterprises establish standard test fixtures for muffler-duct systems
- For models with multiple air outlets, the upper air outlet connection test system is preferred
- Pay attention to background noise control, and the external fan noise should be regarded as background noise
