Introduction

1. Standard Overview

GB/T 42156—2023 "General Technical Specification for Foundry Sand Mold 3D Printing Equipment" is my country's first national standard for foundry sand mold 3D printing equipment, which aims to unify industry technical requirements and improve product quality and safety. This standard applies to the design, manufacture and acceptance of digital casting equipment that uses binder jetting to manufacture sand molds (cores).

2. Background of Standard Formulation

With the digital transformation of the foundry industry, 3D printing technology is increasingly used in sand mold manufacturing. However, the lack of unified technical standards in the industry has led to uneven product quality. The introduction of this standard fills this gap and provides a scientific basis for the design, production and testing of equipment.

3. Comparison of standard frameworks

4. Main contents of the standard

4.1 Technical requirements

The equipment must meet the following technical indicators: Printing accuracy error does not exceed 5%, The maximum forming size is not less than the calibration value, Safety protection devices are complete. At the same time, the hydraulic, pneumatic and lubrication systems of the equipment must meet the requirements of national standards.

4.2 Safety protection and hygienic requirements

The equipment must be equipped with a protective cover, and an emergency stop button and power-off protection function must be set. The safety protection design must comply with the requirements of GB 20905 to ensure the safety of operators.


5. Implementation Advice

5.1 Equipment Manufacturer

  • Design and produce equipment in strict accordance with the standards to ensure that all indicators meet the standards.
  • Provide complete random documents and technical support to facilitate user operation and maintenance.

5.2 User

  • Read the product manual carefully before using the equipment and receive necessary training.
  • Regularly check the protective devices and safety functions of the equipment to ensure their normal operation.

5.3 Inspection Agency

  • Strictly carry out type inspection in accordance with the standards to ensure that the equipment meets the requirements.
  • Periodically conduct random inspections on the equipment provided by users to ensure product quality.
