Scope
This standard specifies the terminology, classification, technical requirements, inspection methods, acceptance rules, transportation and quality certificates of steel scrap. This standard is applicable to steel scrap used as furnace charge in steelmaking, ironmaking, casting and ferroalloy smelting, recycled steel, and scrap steel for general purposes.
