1. Standard background and significance

GB/T 43091-2023 "Test method for compressive strength of powders" is a standard proposed by the China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association and managed by the National Technical Committee for Standardization of Nonferrous Metals. This standard specifies the test method for compressive strength of powders and is applicable to spherical, quasi-spherical or irregular powders with a particle size of $5\mu\mathrm{m}{\sim}50\mu\mathrm{m}$.

The samples should be sealed and stored at room temperature to avoid moisture. Before testing, ensure that the equipment is preheated for $30\mathrm{min}$ and the test is carried out in an environment with a temperature of $25^\circ\mathrm{C}\pm3^\circ\mathrm{C}$ and a humidity not exceeding $60\%$.

3.2 Key Instrument Description

Micro compression testing machine shall be equipped with 10x or higher eyepiece, loading accuracy better than $1\%$, and displacement accuracy better than $0.01d$.

3.3 Data Processing and Reporting Requirements

The formula for calculating compressive strength is: $$ \phi_{\mathrm{cs}}=2.48 \times 1000 \times \frac{F_{\mathrm{yk}}}{\pi \cdot d^{2}} $$, and the result is retained as $1\mathrm{MPa}$.

It is recommended to conduct particle size distribution analysis before testing to ensure sample uniformity.
