Introduction


The Standard for Charging and Discharging Controllers for Independent Photovoltaic Systems (Battery Management), designated as GB/T 44232-2024, is a technical specification developed by the National Standardization Administration of China. This standard aims to provide comprehensive guidelines and requirements for the design, manufacture, testing, and application of charging and discharging controllers specifically tailored for independent photovoltaic (PV) systems that utilize batteries as their primary energy storage medium. The implementation date of this regulation is set for March 1st, 2025.



The document covers various aspects including but not limited to: controller classification based on technical performance and application scenarios; environmental adaptability; safety measures during operation; efficiency evaluation under different conditions such as temperature, light intensity, and load variation; along with quality control processes throughout the lifecycle of the equipment from initial design through disposal.
