Introduction

1. Introduction and standard background

GB/T 44487-2024 "Ubiquitous Location Information Overlay Protocol" is a standard developed to regulate the collection and organization of massive heterogeneous information in spatial locations. With the development of geographic information systems, the Internet, and the Internet of Things, the diversity and uncertainty of ubiquitous location information have put forward higher requirements for information management.

2. Structure of ubiquitous location information

According to Chapter 5 of the standard, the structure of ubiquitous location information mainly includes the following four parts: location, time, presentation form, and information content. These parts are associated through a unified spatial reference system and temporal reference system.

Structural composition Detailed content Description form Instructions
Location Entity space range Geometric area Uniform space reference positioning
Entity location Location type
Published location Location type

3. Location type of ubiquitous location information

The standard divides ubiquitous location information into direct location type and indirect location type. See Table 2 for details. Direct location types are typically represented by coordinates, while indirect location types include geographic grids, addresses, and other forms.

Location Type Location Subtype Description
Direct Location Coordinate One of a sequence of n numbers representing the location of a point in n-dimensional space.
Indirect Location Geographic Grid A grid formed by dividing the earth's surface according to certain mathematical rules.

4. Information Metrics of Ubiquitous Location Information

The information metric function F(x) is used to quantify the physical storage space or duration of an information element. The standard requires that F(x) satisfy the non-negativity principle and the general addition operation rules to ensure the consistency and operability of information measurement.

Case Study: Co-location Superposition Application

For example, in the upper co-location superposition, the geometric positions of multiple information elements are spatially "joined" to form a larger coverage area. This superposition method is suitable for collecting and displaying information from multiple geographical locations.

5. Technical comparison of overlay methods

Overlay type Geometric feature Operation method Application scenario
Point co-location Point Spatial “join” Geographic location annotation
Line co-location Line Spatial “intersection” Path planning system

6. Implementation Suggestions and Outlook

To ensure the effective implementation of the standard, it is recommended that:

  • Establish a unified information metadata structure and interface specification.
  • Develop overlay algorithm implementation tools that meet the standards.
  • Promote the application demonstration of standards in the fields of geographic information systems, smart cities, etc.
