Overview of Chinese Domain Name Encoding Technical Standards
GB/T 44596-2024, as the core part of the Chinese domain name technical standards, establishes the Chinese domain name encoding specification based on Unicode. This standard mainly solves the encoding conversion problem of Chinese domain name fields in the DNS system, and realizes the reversible conversion of non-ASCII characters to ASCII character sets through the Punycode algorithm.
