Introduction


This standard provides a method for determining the irradiance during climate aging tests of plastics using instrumental measurement. It specifies general principles and basic testing procedures to ensure accurate and reliable measurements of irradiation exposure in laboratory conditions. The standard is applicable to various types of climate aging tests and aims to harmonize the assessment of irradiation effects on plastic materials. Its implementation, starting from August 1, 2025, will help achieve consistent and reproducible results across different testing environments, supporting better evaluation of material performance under simulated weathering conditions.
