Scope

This document specifies the description of various types of documentary information resources used by the visually impaired (i.e. "blind resources"), including: Braille resources, sighted-blind comparison resources, touch maps, touch music scores, touch dance scores, electronic Braille, audio books and accessible movies for the blind, new handmade reading materials for the blind, touch books, multi-sensory books, etc. The accessible format version of resources designed for people with other reading disabilities can also find general terms in this document and can be referred to for description. This document is applicable to the production of bibliographic data by national bibliographic agencies, library and information agencies or other institutions.
