《GB/T 4864-2008金属钙及其制品》由TC58（全国核能标准化技术委员会）归口，TC58SC5（全国核能标准化技术委员会核燃料技术分会）执行，主管部门为国家标准化管理委员会。
本标准代替GB/T 4864-1995《金属钙及其制品》。本标准规定了金属钙及其制品的要求、试验方法、检验规则、包装、标志、运输、贮存及订货合同内容等。本标准适用于熔盐电解蒸馏法制得的金属钙锭及经机械加工而成的钙制品。本标准与GB/T 4864-1995相比主要变化如下：
―――增加了术语和定义的内容；
―――增加了订货规定的内容；
―――增加了外形、尺寸的内容；
―――按GB/T 1.1-2000《标准化工作导则　第1部分：标准的结构和编写规则》重新编写。

This standard specifies the requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging, marking, transportation and storage as well as order contract contents of calcium metal and its products.
This standard is applicable to the calcium metal ingots produced by fused salt electrolysis distillation method and calcium products produced through machining.
