Technical Necessity of Standard Revision
The 2022 version optimizes technical indicators based on the circulation demand of the timber market. Compared with the original GB/T5039-1999, the current specification has three major areas of improvement: shortening the reference value of the minimum diameter of defects to be checked, strengthening the quantitative inspection requirements for wormholes, and unifying the arbitration inspection paradigm of timber management agencies.
