Introduction
Specification Background and Technical Evolution
This standard was compiled by Shaanxi Gas Design Institute and 12 other institutions including Tianjin Fire Research Institute of the Ministry of Public Security. It absorbs international advanced experience and is formulated in response to the development status of my country's marine LNG industry. Compared with the 2008 version of the "Automobile Gas Station Specification", 5 new chapters such as ship-shore interface and hydraulic structures are added to reflect the particularity of water operations.
Analysis of core technical requirements
1. Grading and joint construction regulations
| Grade | Total volume (m³) | Volume of single tank above ground (m³) |
|---|---|---|
| Level 1 | 1000-2000 | ≤250 |
| Level 3 | 180-500 | ≤60 |
Special requirements for joint construction stations: The volume of diesel tanks can be halved and included in the total volume, but the distance between tank groups must be ≥8m, and the filling equipment is prohibited from operating at the same time.
2. Key data of fire protection distance
Distance between ground storage tanks and residential areas: 110m for first-level stations (buried tanks can be reduced by 50%). The distance between the bunkering dock and the bridge should be ≥2 times the length of the ship.
Key points of innovative design
Storage tank system
- Design temperature of vacuum insulation tank ≤-196℃
- Double safety valve configuration (1 for use and 1 for backup)
- Requirements for anti-floating measures for pit storage tanks
Fire protection system
Level 3 and above stations need to be equipped with: Fixed cooling water system (≥6h water supply) + outdoor fire hydrant + isolation water curtain system. Water curtain spraying intensity ≥2.0L/(s·m).
Implementation suggestions
- Austenitic stainless steel corrugated hoses (burst pressure ≥ 4 times the nominal pressure) should be preferred
- Explosion-proof electrical equipment should be used in explosion-hazardous areas (in accordance with GB50058)
- BOG recovery system should be designed in conjunction with the city gas network
