《GB/T 5746-2001船用普通矩形窗》由TC129（全国船舶舾装标准化技术委员会）归口，主管部门为国家标准化管理委员会。
本标准规定了船用普通矩形窗的分类、要求、试验方法、检验规则以及标志、包装、运输和贮存。本标准适用于海洋船舶和舰船干舷甲板以上的甲板室和上层建筑及海上结构物的有关舱室所安装的矩形窗，其定位按GB/T14357。内河船舶所安装的矩形窗亦可参照使用。
Scope
This standard specifies the classification, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage of ordinary rectangular windows for ships (hereinafter referred to as rectangular windows). This standard is applicable to the rectangular windows installed in deckhouses and superstructures above the freeboard deck of ships and related compartments of offshore structures, and its orientation is in accordance with GB/T14357. Rectangular windows installed on inland ships can also be used as a reference.
