《GB/T 5972-2006起重机用钢丝绳检验和报废实用规范》由TC227（全国起重机械标准化技术委员会）归口，主管部门为中国机械工业联合会。
本标准规定了起重机用钢丝绳检验和报废的一般原则。本标准适用于下列起重机：a)缆索及门式缆索起重机；b)悬臂起重机：c)甲板起重机；d)桅杆及牵索式桅杆起重机；e)斜撑式桅杆起重机；f)浮式起重机；g)流动式起重机；h)桥式起重机；i)门式或半门式起重机；j)门式或半门座起重机；k)铁路起重机；l)塔式起重机。这些起重机可用吊钩、抓斗、电磁盘、料桶、铲斗、集装箱专用吊具、堆垛叉等作业，并可以手动、机动、电动或液压操纵。本标准也适用与钢丝绳电动葫芦。

Scope

This standard specifies the general principles for inspection and scrapping of steel wire ropes. This standard applies to the following cranes: a) cable and gantry cranes; b) cantilever cranes (column, wall or bicycle); c) deck cranes; d) mast and guyed mast cranes; f) floating cranes; g) mobile cranes; h) bridge cranes; i) portal or semi-portal cranes; g) portal or semi-portal cranes; k) railway cranes; l) towers type crane. These cranes can be operated with hooks, grabs, electromagnetic disks, buckets, buckets, container spreaders, stacking forks, etc., and can be operated manually, motorized, electric or hydraulically. This standard also applies to wire rope electric hoists. The vocabulary of cranes involved in this standard can refer to ISO 4306-1. The structure classification involved in this standard can refer to ISO 4301-1.
