Scope

This standard specifies the method for the determination of silicon content in aluminum and aluminum alloys. This standard applies to the determination of silicon content in aluminum and aluminum alloys. Measuring range: 0.001% to 0.40%. This standard does not apply to aluminum alloys containing tin.
