《GB/T 700-2006碳素结构钢》由TC183（全国钢标准化技术委员会）归口，TC183SC2（全国钢标准化技术委员会基础分会）执行，主管部门为中国钢铁工业协会。
本标准规定了碳素结构钢的牌号、分类和代号、尺寸、外形、重量、技术条件、检验和试验、包装标志及质量证明书。
本标准适用于一般交货状态使用，通常用于焊接、铆接、栓接工程结构用热轧钢板、钢带、型钢和钢棒。

Scope

This standard specifies the grade, size, shape, weight and allowable deviation, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging, signs and quality certificates of carbon structural steel. This standard is applicable to hot-rolled steel plates, steel strips, section steels and steel bars generally used for welding, riveting and bolting engineering structures. This standard specifies the chemical composition and is also applicable to steel ingots, continuous casting slabs, billets and their products.
