Scope

This standard specifies the term definitions, product classifications, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, signs, packaging, transportation, storage and others for large glass fiber reinforced plastic (hereinafter referred to as FRP) cooling towers. This standard is applicable to industrial cooling towers with fan diameters of 4.7m to 9.14m and external motors for the enclosure structure, air outlet, fan blades, etc. to be made of glass fiber reinforced plastics. If the division range crosses with the GB7190.1-1997 standard, the cooling tower with a cooling water volume less than 1000m³/h shall comply with the GB7190.1-1997 standard.
