本标准规定了汽车用及其他固定式内燃机润滑油(汽油机油和柴油机油)的详细分类。不包括铁路内燃机车柴油机油和船用柴油机油，二冲程汽油机油分类见附录B。
Scope
This standard specifies the detailed classification of lubricating oils (gasoline engine oils and diesel engine oils) for automobiles and other stationary internal combustion engines. Diesel engine oil for railway diesel locomotives and marine diesel engine oil are not included. For the classification of two-stroke gasoline engine oil, see Appendix B (reference).
