GB/T 8059.1-1995 in English

This standard is equivalent to the international standard ISO 7371:1995 "Household Refrigerating Appliances - Refrigerators with or without Low-temperature Compartment - Characteristics and Test Methods".

1 Scope

This standard specifies terms, product classification, technical specifications, test methods and inspection rules, as well as marking, packaging, transportation and storage of refrigerators.
This standard is applicable to the vapor compression household refrigerator with enclosed electric machine below 500L (hereinafter referred to as "refrigerator"). It does not apply to refrigerators for special purpose.

3 Terms

3.1 Household refrigerator (hereinafter referred to as "refrigerator")
Insulated cabinet of suitable volume and equipment for household use, cooled by one or more energy-consuming means, and having one or more compartments intended for the preservation of food, it include refrigerator, refrigerator-freezer and freezer.
3.2 Refrigerator
Insulated cabinet of suitable volume and equipment for household use, cooled by one or more energy-consuming means, and having one or more compartments intended for the preservation of food, one at least of which is suitable for the storage of fresh food.
