Aluminium alloy forgings

1 Scope

This document specifies the product classification, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation, storage, quality certificate, and purchase order (or contract) information of aluminium alloy forgings.

This document is applicable to the production and trade of aluminium alloy die forgings, free forgings and rolling rings (hereinafter collectively referred to as "forgings").

3 Terms and definitions

For the purposes of this document, the terms and definitions given in GB/T 8005.1 apply.

4 Product classification

4.1 Designations, supply states, dimensions and specifications

The designations, supply states and thickness of forgings are shown in Table 1. Other dimensions and specifications of the forgings shall conform to the forging drawings or order orders (or contracts) agreed upon by the supplier and purchaser. When other designations and supply states are required by the purchaser, it shall be negotiated and determined between the supplier and purchaser according to the Registration Form for Status and Performance of Deformed Aluminum and Aluminum Alloy Products, and shall be indicated in the purchase order (or contract).
