Introduction

1. Standard Overview

GB/T 8546-2017 Titanium-Stainless Steel Composite Plate replaces the previous GB/T 8546-2007 version, and mainly provides comprehensive technical specifications for the application of titanium and stainless steel composite materials in corrosive environments.

2. Technical Background and Evolution Analysis

With the increasing demand for corrosion-resistant materials in the industrial field, GB/T 8546-2017 standard has updated a number of technical requirements, especially introducing new specifications in terms of substrate chemical composition, supply status and non-destructive testing. The explosive annealing (BM) state has been added, and the theoretical calculation method of tensile strength has been optimized.

4. Interpretation of key technical requirements

Chemical composition:The composite material shall comply with GB/T 3620.1, and the base material shall meet GB/T 24511-2009, GB/T 4238 and NB/T 47010 standards.

Mechanical properties:Table 6 specifies the requirements for tensile strength and shear strength, and a new separation strength test method is added (Appendix A).
