Analysis of the core content of the standard

Terminology system

The standard has established a technical vocabulary system containing 72 core terms, which are mainly divided into:

  • Wire assembly: defines 11 elements such as central wire and filling wire
  • Strand structure: covers 9 typical structures such as parallel twist and composite twist
  • Performance parameters: clarifies 23 indicators such as breaking tension and elastic modulus

  • Selection reference: K-type compacted strand structure is preferred for lifting equipment, and 34(M)×7 type anti-rotation wire rope is recommended for mine hoisting
  • Detection focus: For wire ropes with diameters greater than 60mm, special tests on torsion characteristics are required
