《GB/T 8722-2019炭素材料导热系数测定方法》由TC183(全国钢标准化技术委员会)归口,TC183SC15(全国钢标准化技术委员会炭素材料分会)执行,主管部门为中国钢铁工业协会。
Introduction
GB/T 8722-2019 Standard Overview
The National Standard of the People's Republic of China GB/T 8722-2019 "Determination Method of Thermal Conductivity of Carbon Materials" specifies the terms and definitions, principles, instruments and equipment, sample requirements, test procedures, result calculation and test report of thermal conductivity of carbon materials. This standard is applicable to the determination of thermal conductivity of block and flake carbon materials in different temperature ranges.
Analysis of Standard Formulation Background and Technology Evolution
GB/T 8722-2019 replaces GB/T 8722-2008 "Determination of Thermal Conductivity of Graphite Materials at Medium Temperature", and has made improvements mainly in the following aspects:
- Added terms and definitions (Chapter 3)
- Introduced the sampling direction regulations for the longitudinal heat flow method (4.4.1)
- Modified the requirements for the number of longitudinal heat flow method tests (4.5.6)
- Added the flash method determination method (Chapter 5)
- Optimized the test report content (Chapter 6)
Comparative analysis of standard frameworks
| Chapter | GB/T 8722-2019 | GB/T 8722-2008 | New/modified content |
|---|---|---|---|
| Chapter 3 | Added terms and definitions | - | New |
| Chapter 4 | Applicable temperature range of longitudinal heat flow method extended to 100℃~800℃ | Medium temperature range test | Expanded |
| Chapter 5 | New flash method determination method | - | New |
| Chapter 6 | Optimized test report content | Original report format | Improved |
Technical characteristics and applicable scope of the two measurement methods
1. Longitudinal heat flow method (Chapter 4)
- Applicable temperature range:100℃~800℃
- Principle characteristics:The sample is heated by direct current, and the thermal conductivity is calculated by one-dimensional longitudinal heat flow
- Technical advantages:High measurement accuracy, suitable for bulk material testing
2. Flash method (Chapter 5)
- Applicable temperature range:Room temperature to 2500℃
- Principle characteristics:The thermal conductivity is calculated by the change in back surface temperature using high-intensity short-time pulse energy radiation
- Technical advantages:Suitable for thin sheet material testing, especially suitable for high temperature range
Recommendations for the implementation of the standard
1. Equipment calibration and personnel training
Strictly purchase and calibrate instruments and equipment according to the standard requirements, including key measuring tools such as micrometers, vernier calipers, and thermocouples. It is recommended to provide professional training for experimental personnel to ensure that they are proficient in the operation of the two measurement methods.
2. Test environment control
- The laboratory should maintain a constant temperature (recommended range: 20℃±2℃)
- Avoid external interference factors (such as airflow, vibration, etc.) during the experiment
- For the flash method, attention should be paid to the safety protection of the laser system
3. Data recording and processing
It is recommended to use professional data acquisition software for real-time recording and perform numerical rounding in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 8170. For the longitudinal heat flow method, special attention should be paid to the calculation accuracy of the lateral heat exchange coefficient ε.
4. Report Writing Specifications
- Fill in the test report content strictly in accordance with the standard requirements
- It is recommended to attach a temperature and thermal conductivity relationship curve
- Abnormal data requires detailed explanation and analysis
