Scope
This standard stipulates the classification, size, shape and allowable deviation, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging, marks and quality certificates of steel wires for rope making. This standard applies to plain and galvanized steel wires of circular cross-section for the manufacture of general-purpose and important-purpose steel wire ropes.
