Scope
This standard applies to the recording and (or) playback of C-format helical scan tape recorders with a tape width of 25.4 mm for broadcasting. This standard specifies the mechanical and electrical properties of 625-line-50-field video tape recorders to ensure the interchangeability of TV program tapes.
