Scope

This standard specifies the specification series and models, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marks, instructions for use, packaging, transportation and storage of closed rubber mixers and plastic mixers. This standard applies to closed rubber mixers and plastic mixers (hereinafter referred to as internal mixers) that use a pair of elliptical rotors to knead or masticate intermittently. This standard does not apply to intermeshing internal mixers.
