Scope

This part of GB/T 9771 stipulates the geometrical, optical, transmission characteristics, mechanical and environmental performance requirements of non-zero dispersion single-mode fiber for wide-wavelength optical transmission in the B5 category, and specifies the measurement methods for fiber characteristics. The dispersion value of this type of fiber remains non-zero in the entire wavelength range from 1460nm to 1625nm, and it is suitable for dense wavelength division multiplexing (DWDM) or coarse wavelength division multiplexing (CWDM) applications in the range of 1460nm to 1625nm. This part is applicable to non-zero dispersion single-mode optical fiber for wide-wavelength optical transmission of category B5 used in communication optical cables and other information transmission equipment.
