Scope
This standard specifies the chemical qualitative identification method for rubber polymers in rubber or rubber products. This standard is applicable to the identification of natural rubber (NR) and isoprene rubber (IR), styrene-butadiene rubber (SBR), chloroprene rubber (CR), nitrile rubber (NBR), Rubber polymers such as base rubber (IIR). It is not recommended to adopt this standard for compounded rubbers, unless the reliability of this standard has been confirmed with known compounded rubbers.
