Scope

This part of GB/T 9996 specifies the blackboard inspection method for the yarn appearance quality by comparing the uniformity of yarn dryness and appearance quality on the blackboard with the standard sample. This part uses the comprehensive evaluation method to evaluate the appearance quality of the yarn blackboard. This part is applicable to the evaluation of the appearance quality products of pure cotton-type chemical fiber yarn, cotton-type chemical fiber and chemical fiber blended yarn, pure cotton and cotton and chemical fiber blended yarn. This part is also applicable to the assessment of appearance quality products of carded cotton, combed pure cotton yarn and open-end spinning yarn for weaving and knitting with ring-spinning mechanism. This part does not apply to the evaluation of woolen yarn appearance quality products, etc.
