Introduction
Analysis of the core content of the standard
| Indicator category | Traditional Pu'er Tea | Solid Instant Pu'er Tea |
|---|---|---|
| Morphology requirements | Compressed tea/loose tea | Powder or granular |
| Tea polyphenols content | Not quantitatively specified | ≥15.0% |
| Moisture control | ≤13.0% | ≤6.0% |
Key Technical Requirements
The standard clearly stipulates that raw materials must meet the geographical indication requirements of GB/T 22111, that non-tea substances are prohibited during processing, and that production water must meet the drinking water standards of GB 5749. The upper limit for caffeine is specifically set at ≤15% to avoid the risk of excessive intake.
Test Method System
Taking tea polyphenols testing as an example: Using the GB/T 8313 spectrophotometric method, 0.2g of sample must be accurately weighed, extracted with 70% methanol solution in a 70°C water bath for 15 minutes, and the absorbance at 765nm measured. Laboratory comparison data shows that this method has a relative standard deviation of <2.5%.
Implementation Recommendations
- It is recommended to use low-temperature concentration technology (40-50°C) in the production process to retain active substances
- Aluminum foil composite film with an oxygen permeability of less than 1.0 cm³/m²·24h should be used as packaging material
- Establish a batch testing system for pesticide residues in raw materials, with special attention to pyrethroid pesticide residues
Analysis of Standard Evolution
Compared to the 2008 version of the General Standard for Instant Tea, this version adds: ① Clarifies the requirements for the characteristic flavor of Pu'er tea ② Adds the evaluation of aged aroma ③ Strictly stipulates that the total ash content must be ≤20%. This reflects the industry's dual emphasis on quality specificity and safety.
