Scope

This standard only stipulates basic requirements. When using this standard, the sample specifications, defect size, test temperature, loading period and number of cycles can also be determined according to the user's requirements. This standard is applicable to the determination of the ability of defective non-porous honeycomb bonded structural specimens to withstand aerodynamic suction, internal and external pressure differences and internal pressurization due to aerodynamic heating under simulated aircraft flight conditions, and to examine their failure modes (including whether the honeycomb nodes are cracking, whether the core is unstable) and service life; evaluate the matching of panel glue and sandwich core and determine the allowable defect tolerance of honeycomb components in use.
